Details

The resident family's converted farmhouse and cottages nestle on the valley side, up an unclassified country road in the beautiful Nidderdale countryside on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. All lodges and cottages are well equipped with all creature comforts, surrounded by mature woodland from which spectacular views can be seen. Many attractions such as Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey and Ripley Castle are all within few miles travel, with places such as Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripon only approximately 10 miles away.

The Byre is on the ground floor of the converted farmhouse. There is a double bedroom and an open plan sitting room with additional sleeping. There is an integral kitchen/dining area. The bathroom and landing are at the top of a small flight of stairs.

The Old Barn is above the Byre with a large open plan living/dining/kitchen. It has 2 large windows and sunlight floods through into the room. A staircase leads onto the top floor with large windows overlooking woodland at the back. One bedroom leads through to the other.

The Scandinavian lodges, Fern Crag and Stone Croft, are individually designed buildings. Each one is distinctive in design with open-plan living rooms, tasteful furnishings, colour TV, dining room suite, fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms as well as showers. The lodges are double-glazed and well insulated for year-round comfort; after all, they were designed for arctic conditions.

While these lodges are usually divided into 2 complete and fully equipped lodges, they can be opened up, via interconnecting doors and used as one larger home – so can offer the peace and tranquillity of the woodland surroundings, together with every modern comfort ideal for couples or for larger groups of up to 10 people.

Each lodge has its own adjacent car parking. They are on one level with wheelchair access, permitting those with walking difficulties to enjoy the birds and wildlife from the comfort of the lodge.

These are available for short breaks as well as a longer stays of a week or more. See website for the breakdown of prices.
