Details

The Talbot is a 15th Century Inn with eleven en-suite bedrooms, owned and managed by Annie Clift and her family for over 30 years. We offer food all day, starting with the award winning breakfast from 8am. Our lunch, dinner and afternoon cream tea menus are eclectic and ever changing, created with a passion for food and a love of traditional ingredients. Our menus celebrate local, sustainably grown produce and of course vegetables and salad from our kitchen garden.

As well as the kitchen garden we also boast our own on site Teme Valley Brewery, makers of “This”, “That” and “T’Other”, the distinctive brews sold on tap at the bar. The brewery host popular beer festivals throughout the year in April, June and October, including the biggest Green Hop Beer Festival held in September. Each has its own theme and offers a wide range of real ales and ciders from independent micro breweries, live music from excellent local bands and noodles or pulled pork rolls from our famous Flying Pig Ark.

The Teme Valley Farmers Market is held here on the 2nd Sunday of every month. Started 17 years ago- making it one of the 1st in the country – approximately 30 local artisans come to showcase and sell their products. We feel we are doing our bit to promote 'authentic' local markets selling local food and products. Our next farmers markets will be taking place on the 9th October and 13th November 2016.

We have recently opened up our bakery which sells a variety of breads, for example sourdough, seeded and flavoured. We also make sweet buns, Chelsea buns and doughnuts. Our bread is sold at the Teme Valley Market and from the pub on Fridays at 1pm and from 8am Saturdays.

We have a beautiful location for hosting weddings, christening, parties, etc. with our superb riverside setting. We offer a variety of interior rooms and marquee options. All food is freshly made; menus for functions are compiled by our head chef in consultation with the client, dependent upon season, guest numbers and budget.

Our Christmas menus are available on our website for you to view; bookings are now being taken for Christmas day.

Above all The Talbot is a place to make new friends or meet old ones for a delicious supper; or if you prefer, a quiet corner of the Worcestershire countryside where you can sit with a beer and let the world pass you by and if you don’t believe me come and see for yourself!
