Details

We are a working farm breeding and working Suffolk Punch horses which are critically endangered. Jenny Wren Cottage has red brick and flint walls in the sitting room and two ground floor double rooms with a galleried twin room with its own separate sitting room and TV (ideal for teenagers). Nuthatch Cottage has two ground floor double rooms en-suite one with four poster bed and a galleried play area with a child's camp bed. There is also a double sofa bed in the sitting room. We also supply a Hot Spa Tub which is shared by the cottages.

Both cottages are supplied with a travel cot (no bedding supplied) and a high chair for little ones a potty plus a changing mat in Jenny Wren and we have tried to supply everything in the cottage that we would want for ourselves. We aim for comfort and an enjoyable experience. A welcome tea tray on your arrival with tea/coffee/sugar and milk in the fridge gives you the chance to relax before unpacking.

Outside there are two courtyards with a BBQ for each cottage and garden furniture plus a shed to store bicycles etc. A children's play area and play house are also available. There are walks round the farm for children and dogs with many birds, geese, ducks etc. walking free and the horses in the fields during the summer. We are within easy access to historic Bury St Edmunds with its beautiful Abbey Gardens Cathedral and street markets. Cambridge is within easy driving distance, also wonderful Lavenham and the Suffolk Coast.

For anyone preferring a more natural experience we also have a Shepherds Hut for 'Glamping'. This is situated near a wood for nature lovers with a private patio and BBQ. This sleeps two in a pull out double bed and we supply two pillows, crockery and cutlery for two and wood for the wood burning stove. There is also a power point, small kettle and toaster. All you need to supply is sleeping bags or sheets/duvet, pillow cases and towels. A toilet and shower block are nearby. Please contact us for details.
